Band Biography

The Totall Kontroll Band is a band that evolved in 2003 from various local bands that began playing R&B in the early 1980's around the Greater West Palm Beach area. This evolution created a 5 piece band of incomparable musicians [including horns] with top-notch musical skills. The Band is under the leadership and primarily built around the vocal talents of Tony  Thomas who sings lead out front and at times plays keyboards within the Band. Tony started his music career in the 6th grade on violin, learned drums in middle school, and then picked up piano when he reached high school. He is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida where he was in the Marching Band, performed in talent shows, and played keyboards as well as sung with the Gospel Choir. Tony was the one who recorded the song "Funkiest Beat"  with another group of his called "Bodyguard". It was promoted nationally and is still available around the world and on the internet. Today Tony Thomas and the Totall Kontroll Band contunue to perform at prominent venues all around South Florida.

Tony and the Band play numerous styles of music, including: R&B, Hip-Hop, Motown, Pop, and some Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Island Music. They have show experience with major artists like "Kool and the Gang, "The "Spinners", "The Brothers Johnson", "Najee [Jazz great]", and "Cherelle". The Band has also headlined their own shows, yet they can even play delicate enough to effectively handle smaller settings.Totall Kontroll is always fresh, professional, and trendy with song selections and show ideas.
